Classic Crochet Hat No. 4

This hat is crocheted from the top down using half double crochet in the round. The top of the hat increases in sets of 7 until it's the width you want, then it's worked down in the round until it's the length you want, so the size is easily adjustable.

TECHNIQUES USED
chain stitch (or magic ring), half double crochet, working in the round, simple increasing, weaving in ends.

YARN
100 (130, 135, 140, 150, 165, 170, 180, 190, 200) yards of worsted weight yarn

We used 1 skein of Manos Maxima for ours! 

GAUGE
4 sts & 3 rows per inch in half double crochet before blocking

HOOK
US 7 / 4.5mm hook

NOTIONS
scissors, darning/tapestry needle, 7 stitch markers (1 unique for beginning of round)
